ExcursionThursday, September 5, afternoon All conference participants are invited to an excursion to Schengen, a Luxembourg commune located in the Moselle valley, at the triple border point between Luxembourg, Germany and France. No extra fees will be charged for the excursion. Transport to Schengen and back to Belval will be provided. The afternoon will feature two activities:
The European Museum is managed by the non-profit Centre Européen Schengen asbl. Since the signing of the Schengen Treaty on June 14, 1985 on the boat Princess Marie-Astrid, this stretch of the Moselle riverbank has become a symbolic place of the opening of the European Union's internal borders. The place is hosting various monuments commemorating the signing of the 1985 and 1990 agreements, as well as other material symbols of open borders and European integration. https://www.visitschengen.lu/en/
